A.C.C. (American Champagne Cocktail)

A.C.C.   (Charles Schumann, 1983)
Dashes of lemon juice
3/4 oz. blood orange juice
3/4 oz. Wild Turkey
1/4 oz. Southern Comfort
Champagne

Shake the first four ingredients over ice. Strain into a Champagne flute, fill with Champagne.

I brought in my own Southern Comfort; it’s not part of the bar inventory. Blood orange juice was not available, so Sean used their own fresh-squeezed orange juice. The overall impression was that it’s a whiskey mimosa. The blood orange would have probably made the drink slightly sweeter and less astringent, which would have been a good thing, in my opinion. All together a decent drink for brunch.
