Alexander No. 2
1 1/2 oz. cream
1 oz. brandy
3/4 oz. crème de cacao
Shake well with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Like the Alexander No. 1, this version would make a fantastic choice if you couldn’t decide between a dessert or an after-drink. The warm, round, caramel-y notes of the brandy was perfect with the soft chocolate undernote (is that a word? it is now). The cream and nutmeg just made everyone play very nice with each other.
