Alexander’s Sister

May 2, 2014 – The Republic Steakhouse

Alexander’s Sister
1 1/2 oz. cream
1 1/2 oz. gin
1/4 oz. crème de menthe (green)

Shake well over ice in a shaker. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Well… it finally happened. A drink that was … well… bad.  Made with well gin (Bombay) and “good” crème de menthe (it wasn’t green), I didn’t think it would be all that horrible considering that I was so pleasantly surprised with the Alexander No. 1 from way back. I’m glad that the bar doesn’t stock green c.d.m. because that would have pushed the drink from bad into gross territory. Not only would it have tasted like milk mixed with Nyquil, but it would have looked like it, too. Blech!
