3/4 oz. dry vermouth
3/4 oz. vermouth rosso
3/4 oz. Scotch
Dash Bénédictine
Stemmed cherry

Stir in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass, and garnish with the cherry.

The winner of the evening! This is a variation on a Rob Roy, which is basically a Perfect Scotch Manhattan, which uses bitters instead of Bénédictine. Because of the vermouths, I decided to stick with the well Johnny Walker Black instead of a more adventuresome Scotch. I love Manhattans in any form and this was a really good one. Herbal, floral, a tiny bit citrus-fruity, and Scotch’s own nuances come together very nicely.
