1 1/2 oz. Bourbon
Lime
Dashes grenadine

Pour bourbon over ice cubes in an old fashioned glass. Squeeze lime wedge into drink and drop into glass. Add grenadine and stir well.

My beloved Bulleit Bourbon was very well show-cased here. As there are not many ingredients at all, it makes sense that a good-quality choice would make for a good-quality result, and it did. The lime added a faint acid zing and the grenadine brought just a touch of sweetness. This is pretty  much a straight bourbon with training wheels, and as such it took me awhile to finish it. I enjoyed every drop, though.
