Bijou
3/4 oz. dry vermouth
1/4 oz. green Chartreuse
3/4 oz. gin
Dash orange bitters

Stir well over ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Ryan chose Plymouth Navy-strength gin. This was the winner of the evening. Powerful, but incredibly tasty. Green Chartruese is quickly becoming one of my favorite cocktail liqueurs. Its pungent, spicy, vegetal/herbal flavor marries very well with the gin’s bracing piney taste. The Navy-strength’s extra proof (100 vs. the standardish 80) gives this little cocktail a BIG punch. I really liked this one.
