June 6, 2014 – The Republic Steakhouse
1 oz. orange juice
1/4 oz. Bénédictine
1 oz. brandy
Shake over ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
The usual suspects: Christian Brothers brandy and Bénédictine. This drink was very refreshing, even with the warm glow of brandy. The fruity herbalness of the Bénédictine is something I’m really liking in just about anything. As much as I liked this, I felt it needed something to make it really great. McKay suggested more alcohol, which is probably correct. I was thinking maybe just a splash of Cointreau. In any case, I liked this one.
