September 4, 2014 – The Republic Steakhouse

3/4 oz. lemon juice
1 barspoon superfine sugar
Dashes maraschino liqueur
1 1/4 oz. gin

Shake well over ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Aviation gin. As expected, this was light, bright, and tart. There was an interesting musky note that I usually associate with Champagne/sparkling wine cocktails. I thought it might could use a touch more sweetness; maybe a dash more liqueur.
