September 11, 2014 – The Republic Steakhouse

3/4 oz. lemon juice
1 barspoon powdered sugar
1/4 oz. triple sec
3/4 oz. gin

Shake first four ingredients with ice in a shaker. Strain into a Champagne flute and fill with Champagne.

Plymouth Original gin and Gruet Brut sparkling white wine. A fine cocktail in the same vein of many other Champagne cocktails. Musky from the wine, herbal and very slightly piney from the gin, and tart, but not overly so.
