Brandy & Soda (Fine à l’eau)
1 3/4 to 2 oz. brandy
Pour brandy over ice cubes in a collins glass with soda. In the Far East, premium Cognacs are used.
Christian Brother’s brandy. This was exactly what I expected. The soda opens the brandy up a bit, taming the burn and letting some of the finer nuances of flavor come through, like citrus and dried fruit, mainly raisin, as usual. Over all, a pleasing and refreshing drink.
