Knockout Cocktail

Knockout Cocktail 

3/4 oz. dry vermouth
3/4 oz. gin
Dashes of Pernod
Dash of crème de menthe (white)

Stir with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

Plymouth Navy Strength gin, Dolin dry vermouth. This was interesting in a good way. Pernod, crème de menthe, and dry vermouth are very good together, with no rough edges or an overabundance of any one flavor. The pineyness if the gin is very subtle, but very important to the taste of this drink. This cocktail is also very short; it would have looked nicer in a Nick & Nora glass.
