August 6, 2015 – The Republic Steakhouse


3/4 oz. lemon juice
1 barspoon powdered sugar
1/4 to 3/4 oz. triple sec
3/4 oz. Calvados
3/4 oz. brandy

Shake well with ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Christian Brothers brandy, Cointreau instead of triple sec. This cocktail has a citrus and floral nose and tart bite as well as plenty of warmth from the two brandies. After a few successful Calvados drinks, this one reverts back to the “why is it even in there?” category.
