3/4 oz. dry vermouth
3/4 oz. vermouth rosso
3/4 oz. gin
Stir well with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Twist orange peel over drink and drop into the glass.
Plymouth Navy Strength gin, Carpano Antica vermouth rosso, Dolin dry vermouth. This was pretty much as I expected it to be. The “perfect” refers to the equal parts of dry and rosso vermouth, and you see this descriptive with other cocktails, namely my favorite Manhattan (not the ones in this blog, oddly enough). A bit bitter, a bit herby, good pine comes through from my beloved Navy Strength.
