Charles’s Daiquiri (Charles Schumman, 1980)
3/4 oz. lime juice
1/4 to 3/4 oz. simple syrup
1 barspoon powdered sugar
1 1/2 oz. white rum
1/4 oz. dark rum
Shake well with ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Flor de Caña white rum, Kraken dark rum. Oooh… tasty! This cocktail is definitely tropical and very well balanced between sweet and tart. As per usual for me, I get a little coconut, as well as some other fruity notes not coming from the lime.
