Apple Sunrise

Apple Sunrise (Charles Schumann, 1980)

Dashes of lemon juice
1/4 oz. crème de cassis
1 1/4 oz. Calvados
2 3/4 oz. orange juice

Pour each ingredient one after the other into a collins glass. Stir gently.

Edmund Briottet crème de cassis, Daron Calvados Fine. Another surprising addition to the short list of tasty Calvados cocktails. I can actually taste some apple in this one, although I suppose it might be an illusion from the orange and cassis. Although slightly punch-like, this is not tropical or beachy and has a definite autumn vibe.
