Café de Paris

1 oz. cream
1 egg white
1/2 oz. anisette
1 barspoon powdered sugar
1 oz. gin

Shake well with ice in a shaker. Strain into a cocktail glass.

 

Plymouth Navy Strength gin, Pernod. It is always a surprise to me how well anise/licorice goes with gin. This drink is a little sweet, nicely licorice-y, and perfectly piney.
