Various juices (lemon, orange, grapefruit, etc.)
1 egg yolk
Dashes of grenadine
Shake well with ice in a shaker. Strain into a large highball glass over crushed ice.
Yep… you read right… no booze in this. The pickings from the book are getting pretty slim (we’re up to 350), so it looks like I’ll have to resort to some of the nonalcoholic entries.
Given that none of the juices are sweetened, this comes off as rather tart. The egg yolk has nice richness that cuts some of the acidity, but the whole thing could use a couple dashes of sugar syrup.
