October 6, 2016 – The Republic Steakhouse


3/4 oz. dry vermouth
1/4 oz. eau-de-vie de cerise (kirschwasser)
3/4 oz. gin
Dash of grenadine

Stir with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Cherry Heering, Bombay Sapphire gin. Like her English sister, this cocktail is a fancified Martini. A perfect candidate for a light before-dinner drink. The cherry comes through well, though I think I wouldn’t if actual eau-de-vie was used. Either way, it’s lovely.
