October 27, 2016 – The Republic Steakhouse


Dash of lemon juice
Dash of grenadine
Dash of anisette
3/4 oz. white rum
3/4 oz. dark rum

Stir first five ingredients with ice in a large highball glass. Fill with cola.

Pernod, Flor de Caña white rum. Surprising! I can definitely taste the Pernod (it can be a bully sometimes). Ben and I ended up playing with the amounts of grenadine and the verdict was that a bit more that what is stated is ideal. The rum is nice and smooth with just a tiny bit of bite. Overall, this drink reminds me of some type of old-fashioned candy.
