Jean Gabin (Charles Schumann, 1986)

1 1/2 oz. dark rum
3/4 oz. Calvados
1 T. maple syrup
Hot milk

Heat first three ingredients in a heat-resistant glass. Fill with hot milk and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Meyers dark rum. Boozy and not very sweet. The Calvados actually comes through with a slight hint of apple. The maple is there, barely, giving the drink a little rounded sweetness while the rum adds a touch of spice.
